Due to the continued presence of COVID-19 in Manitowoc County, the 50th anniversary show of Heart-A-Rama has been postponed until 2021 to protect the health and safety of our cast, crew, and audience. Show dates for 2021 are scheduled for April 22, 23, and 24, and April 29, 30, and May 1.

With Heart-A-Rama bringing in more than 250 patrons per night, along with many cast and crew members, there is no safe way to social distance according to CDC guidelines in the current health landscape while still providing a top-notch “Heart-A-Rama experience.” We value our community too much to put anyone at risk.  While we are saddened by this necessary decision, we plan on celebrating our 50th anniversary to the fullest extent and with the biggest heart in 2021!  Remember, we all want to reach the goal of $3 million raised toward heart health, and you can be a part of that in 2021!

To our sponsors and guests: Please wait for further instructions and hold on to your tickets if you had already purchased them for the 2020 show. Information on ticket options will be announced in the coming weeks.

If you have questions or concerns about this announcement, please connect with Heart-A-Rama on  Facebook or at Stay safe and healthy, and remember,  You Gotta Have Heart!

Heart-A-Rama 2020 Show Postponement Update

As you know, Heart-A-Rama 2020 has been postponed until October due to health concerns amid the COVID-19 outbreak. This decision comes after guidance from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

That said, we are hopeful that social distancing restrictions will be relaxed by fall so that we can all enjoy an evening of comedy, song and dance, music, food, and fundraising!

The rescheduled Heart-A-Rama 2020 performance dates are:

  • Thursday, October 22
  • Friday, October 23
  • Saturday, October 24
  • Thursday, October 29
  • Friday, October 30
  • Saturday, October 31

We will give more information on Heart-A-Rama in-person ticket sales and exchanges in the future as the CDC dictates safe social interaction.  Anyone with online tickets was already contacted.  If you have online tickets and you haven’t switched to a new date, contact us.

A heartfelt thank you to audience members, cast, and crew for your patience through all of this. One great way to help us cope with this pandemic is with a healthy heart, so let’s keep working toward that goal! YOU GOTTA HAVE HEART!

Heart-A-Rama 2020 Show Postponed Until October

It is with deep regret that we announce Heart-A-Rama 2020 has been postponed until October due to health concerns amid the COVID-19 outbreak. With Heart-A-Rama bringing in more than 250 patrons a night, this decision comes after guidance from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on March 14 to call off events of 50 people or more to avoid the spread of the coronavirus.

Though we are sad to postpone this year’s show, the safety of our guests, cast, and crew is more paramount than any cleverly hilarious, wildly entertaining production. And though we know you’d love to see it, we’d prefer you stay healthy so you can attend future shows and continue to support this local goodwill event.

The rescheduled 2020 performance dates are:

  • Thursday, October 22
  • Friday, October 23
  • Saturday, October 24
  • Thursday, October 29
  • Friday, October 30
  • Saturday, October 31

To our sponsors and guests:

If you’ve already purchased tickets, please hold onto them for further instructions. Tickets will be transferable to the October show date of your choice.  Heart-A-Rama will be printing new tickets for exchange in the future.

To the Heart-A-Rama cast and crew:

Rehearsals are canceled until further notice. As we plan for the October performance dates, we realize your availability and commitment may be undetermined. The show may have to be recast if there are too many actors who cleared their calendars for April show dates and now may be unavailable to perform in October. Please contact your director with immediate questions. Your concerns are important to us and we only ask for your patience during this time of uncertainty.

Until then, remember to wash your hands for 20 seconds or more, avoid touching your face with unwashed hands, disinfect high-touch surfaces regularly, practice social distancing, and stay informed.

If you have additional questions or concerns, please connect with Heart-A-Rama on Facebook or here on our website.

We value your support in this time of uncertainty. Stay safe and healthy, Heart-A-Rama family. We’ll be back soon.

Heart-A-Rama 2019 Raises $87,458

In its 49th year, Heart-A-Rama raised $87,458 of which $78,712 will go to the American Heart Association – Wisconsin to support its life-saving programs and critical research in our communities.  The remainder of the funds will go to provide automated external defibrillators (AEDs) to county nonprofits.  If your 501c3 organization is interested in an AED and  will provide training for its use, contact us below for more information.

Heart-A-Rama is a fundraising, sketch comedy event organized by volunteers, and designed to inform, inspire, and entertain. This year’s theme was Heart-A-Rama Goes Country.  In its first 49 years, HAR has raised just over $2.9 million dollars.

One of the biggest fundraisers is the live auction each night of “The Best Seat in the House”, a decorated toilet seat with the year’s theme. Winners of this year’s seats include Festival Foods, Burbey CPA, LLC, East River Clan, Fox’s Piggly Wiggly, 1st Anderson Real Estate: Amy MacMillin and Jenny Gospodarek, Formrite, Investors Community Bank, and Pete and Chris Honzik.

Heart-A-Rama 2020

2020 will be Heart-A-Rama’s 50th year with classic skits from the past as well as new entertainment. Our goal is to reach the $3 million dollar mark during next year’s anniversary year. Show dates are April 23, 24, 25, 30, and May 1 and 2. Check back on this site for updates and ticket information.
