Heart-A-Rama 2023 Success!

In 2023, Heart-A-Rama closed its 6-night run at the Hamilton Community House in Two Rivers, WI, with a big night, thanks to our audience and special guest.

After 51 seasons of home-spun humor, Heart-A-Rama was able to raise another $90,000 for the benefit of the American Heart Association of Wisconsin, and 7 non-profit organizations received automated electronic defibrillators (AEDs) paid for by Heart-A-Rama.

The last Saturday night performance of 2023 featured Wisconsin’s very own Charlie Berens as our Best Seat in The House Co-Auctioneer. It was a record-setting night when Heart-A-Rama collected almost $10,000, thanks to two bidders and a kind match from Berens. We are eternally grateful to all of our 2023 Best Seat in The House buyers and hope that they return in 2024.

We also want to sincerely thank each of our 2023 advertisers and partners because without them, we could not present our show each year. Advertising options include program, curtain, and wall hearts, and for 2024, Heart-A-Rama will also offer “partnership” options to help cover our productions costs.

Thank you to all who have supported and attended Heart-A-Rama over these many years. Your participation makes our event special to our volunteers because without you, we could not continue to get on the stage and act as silly as we do, while having the time of our lives!

New for this year: Silent Auction

We’ve got something NEW for you at Heart-A-Rama this year! It’s a silent auction. We’ve gotten generous donations of sports related items that you will be able to bid on at the show. Then, on Monday, May 8, the highest bidder of each item will be notified as the winner. It’s another opportunity to raise money for heart health!

So, what are the items, you ask? Well, we have two club level tickets to a Brewers home game (opening bid $90), two sets of signed, game-worn cleats (opening bid $100) from Valders High School grad and current Tampa Bay Buccaneer Luke Goedeke, and a signed Packers football (opening bid $200)!

So, besides all the other great ways to support Heart-A-Rama, these are some additional options. Plan your bidding strategy now and bid away when you’re at the show!

Heart-A-Rama Hits the $3 Million Mark in Fundraising in its 50th Year!

It took a couple extra years due to COVID postponements, but Heart-A-Rama’s 50th season in 2022 entitled “Heart-A-Rama Strikes Gold” raised $106,400 for the American Heart Association with over $10,000 staying in Manitowoc County to purchase AEDs for organizations in need.  And, Heart-A-Rama literally struck gold by surpassing the $3 million mark in fundraising for the American Heart Association!

Heart-A-Rama began in 1971 and raised $1367.96 after a two-night run.  In the year 2000, Heart-A-Rama reached the $1 million mark.  In 2009, Heart-A-Rama hit the $2 million mark in fundraising.  This year, Heart-A-Rama celebrates raising $3 million!

Special thanks go to those patrons and businesses who bought tickets and advertising for the 2020 show, which was postponed due to COVID, and donated those purchases, along with buying again for the 2022 shows.  In addition, Heart-A-Rama raised thousands of dollars on the “Best Seat in the House” auctions, which greatly contributed to the goal of reaching $3 million, so extra thanks go to those bidders.  Finally, Heart-A-Rama thanks all those who attended this year’s shows, supporting the cause through their purchases of food, clothing, auction items, and more!

Of course, Heart-A-Rama wouldn’t be possible without the countless volunteers who work on the stage, in the band, in sales, and in the background.  Every volunteer matters to Heart-A-Rama, and that is why the organization has thrived for 50 years!  If you, in any way, have contributed to Heart-A-Rama this year and in the past, thank you!  You Gotta Have Heart!
