It may have taken two extra years to get here, but Heart-A-Rama’s 50th anniversary show is happening THIS SPRING!
Auditions for the show will take place at 7 P.M. on Wednesday, Feb. 16, in the Behringer Room of the Two Rivers Community House, and 1:00 P.M. on Sunday, Feb. 20, in the Koska Room of the Two Rivers Community House for anyone who is at least 21 years old. Those auditioning will be asked to read from a provided script and sing a brief song (“Happy Birthday” is acceptable!). Those auditioning should bring a list of scheduling conflicts for March and April. Cast members must be available for all scheduled rehearsals, dress rehearsals on April 24 and 25, and performances.
“Heart-A-Rama Strikes Gold” is this year’s theme, and shows will be April 28-30 and May 5-7 at the J.E. Hamilton Community House in Two Rivers. This year’s show will bring back classic skits such as “The Galloping Gourmet,” “The Bout,” and “If I Came Back from History.”
Tickets for “Heart-A-Rama Strikes Gold!” will go on sale soon. Whether you’re buying new tickets or exchanging tickets you bought for the postponed 2020 dates, more details on dates, locations, etc. for ticket sales will be released in the very near future. Patrons who already bought tickets for 2020 will need to exchange them for new tickets or buy new. You will not be able to exchange tickets at the door.
Heart-A-Rama has raised just over $2.9 million dollars in 49 years for the American Heart Association, along with donating AEDs (automated external defibrillators) to local nonprofit organizations! We are hoping to reach the $3 million mark this year as we celebrate 50 years!
