The 50th anniversary of Heart-A-Rama will officially take place October 28-30 and November 4-6, 2021, at the J.E. Hamilton Community House in Two Rivers. “Heart-A-Rama Strikes Gold!” is the theme, and the show will celebrate 50 years by bringing back many old favorites, including “The Galloping Gourmet” and “If I Came Back from History,” along with seagulls and a roundabout invading the stage!
Auditions for the show will take place Wednesday, August 18, at 7:00 PM and Sunday, August 22, at 1:00 PM at the Capitol Civic Centre Mertens/Kadow Room. Those auditioning need only attend one of the dates. If cast, you must be available for rehearsals in September and October, dress rehearsals, and all show dates. Please check your calendar in advance!
Tickets for “Heart-A-Rama Strikes Gold!” will go on sale in August. Whether you’re buying new tickets or exchanging tickets you bought for the postponed 2020 dates, more details on dates, locations, etc. for ticket sales will be released in the very near future. Patrons who already bought tickets for 2020 will need to exchange them for new tickets or buy new. You will not be able to exchange last year’s tickets at the door.
Heart-A-Rama has raised just over $2.9 million dollars in 49 years for the American Heart Association, along with donating AEDs (automated external defibrillators) to local nonprofit organizations! We are hoping to reach the $3 million mark this year as we celebrate 50 years!
